Trinity Precision Sniper Challenge

Team Event hosted @ Cedar Creek Precision - March 19th-21st 2027

Description

This is our inaugural two-day team challenge at Cedar Creek Precision in Hopkinsville, Ky. This will be a challenging match. However, day 2 will be a great training opportunity for less experienced teams - see format below. We encourage those who are newer to the sport (and have shot our solo series) to find a partner and step up to the plate.

Format

  • 2 man teams - 1 primary bolt or gas gun, 1 secondary gas gun.

    • Primary requirements: 6.5CM, .260, .308, .223, 6ARC, 6.8x51; NO MAGNUMS; muzzle velocity under 3200 FPS; targets ranging from 100-1300yds

      • Primary will typically have a capped round count per stage (some exceptions)

    • Secondary requirements: Any caliber in SMALL FRAME GAS GUN configurations (i.e. .223/5.56, 6ARC, 6.5 Grendel, etc.); no optical restrictions; muzzle velocity under 3200 FPS; targets from contact distance to 900ish yds

      • Secondary will typically have unlimited round count per stage (some exceptions)

    • Both teammates will carry 9mm pistols in retention style holsters.

  • Day 1 format - Hike and Shoot

    • You will receive stage briefs at the mandatory shooters meeting on Friday evening.

      • Transit time between stages is not recorded, but please move with intent.

      • Each stage has it's own staging area indicated by signage - an RO will approach you, and give you 30 seconds to ask questions. After 30 seconds is up, the stage will begin. Movement from staging to shooting position may be up to 100yds.

    • All gear and ammo needed for the day will be carried with you as you walk the course.

    • Stage times may vary, but teams will generally have a 5 minute limit to engage all pistol and rifle targets.

  • Day 2 format - Squads Hike and Shoot

    • Stage briefs will be emailed out after day 1 concludes.

    • Squads consisting of two teams will be released at designated tee times.

      • 1st place team will be squadded with 30th place team, 2nd place with 29th, and so on.

      • Squads will move to stages together.

      • The higher performing team will shoot first at each stage, while lower ranked team spectates from designated area (NO GLASSING)

        • This gives the less experienced teams the chance to observe stage breakdown, communication, workflow, etc, from veteran teams.

        • In the spirit of competition, squads consisting of teams battling for mid pack position may agree to alternate which team shoots first (13th-18th place or so)
